Are you bringing the kids along on your Kauai vacation? Kauai with kids may seem challenging, since “The Garden Isle” is a little off the beaten path when compared to Oahu or the Big Island, but there is still plenty to do to entertain your littlest vacationers.
Fun Kids’ Activities on Kauai:
- Snorkeling at Salt Pond Beach Park. This natural lagoon is protected from the elements, so it is an exceptionally safe swimming spot. The area is teeming with fish, too, so snorkeling is lots of fun here!
- Poipu Beach Park. Another super-safe swimming and snorkeling spot, Poipu Beach Park is great fun for the whole family. Kids will enjoy watching the schools of fish in the tidal pools and exploring this beautiful underwater world.
- Helicopter Tour. Kauai’s lush, emerald green landscape and cascading waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking when seen from above. Treat your family to a bird-eye tour of Kauai on a helicopter tour. It will be a moment that you will all surely talk about for years to come!
- Waimea Canyon Road. Waimea Canyon is THE place to go for unbelievably spectacular scenery in otherworldly colors. Do not miss it! You can drive the road and stop at the many lookouts on the way up to see the awe-inspiring scenery. If your kids are a little older, find a hiking trail that suits their abilities and go right into the park.
Don’t worry if you have those kids who ALWAYS complain about going for walks or checking out the sights; Waimea Canyon is guaranteed to impress even the most jaded young cynic!
