Getting Around Hawaii

When you’re looking at airfares to Hawaii you have to balance between best price and ease of travel. We work with wholesalers to offer the best fares possible from the mainland USA to Hawaii and between the islands (inter-island). Because rules vary between wholesalers and airlines, a minimum of land services is always required. (car rentals, hotels, transfers, etc.). As a result, we specialize in Hawaii vacation packages (air, room and car), air and accommodation, or fly-drives to the islands.

To determine how you’ll get around the island(s) you’re visiting, think about the way  you want your vacation to flow. Shuttles offer the convenience of door-to-door service, but limit your mobility. If you want to relax at your resort and not venture far, the shuttle may be the right choice.

If you want to experience everything your island has to offer, a rental car offers the most flexibility. Sometimes the combined cost of shuttles and taxis is more than the cost of a car rental. On islands other than Oahu, a car will make your vacation more enjoyable, as there are very few public transit or shuttle services.

Many people question whether to rent a car on Oahu. This island offers good public transit but if you want to set your own schedule, we recommend you rent a car, even if only for a day or two. Base your choice of vehicle on the number of people in your party, amount of luggage, or vehicle preference.
